On September 9, Carrie Leigh met with a legislative aide in Senator Arlen Specter's office. This was a great opportunity for us to educate the Senator on the affects that Climate Change are having on those in developing countries. The aide was very receptive of our message and is hopeful that Senator Specter can make some much needed change!
We have another lobbying visit with Representative Fattah next week, and hopefully they will be just as receptive. Please contact us if you are interested in lobbying, if you can't lobby you can always take a few minutes to write a letter to your representative and senators and tell them that you want to see legislation that will fund adaptation for developing countries that suffer due to natural disasters.
