The Philly Oxfam Action Corps has some exciting events planned to kick off the summer. On Memorial Day weekend we'll be sharing information about climate change and its impact on the poorest communities at the Piazza Flea in Northern Liberties--and we'll be collecting petition signatures to share with Senator Casey at our in-district visit on June 1st. At the June 1st visit we'll be discussing the need for the passage of a comprehensive climate bill and for funding of adaptation projects for the communities around the world most affected by climate change.
On Saturday June 12th, JOIN US for a kickoff meeting at the home of our co-organizer, Veronica. We'll be participating in a community greening project and then convening to write letters to our Senators and plan advocacy and education events for the summer.
