Coldplay’s Viva La Vida World Tour stops in Philadelphia!

As part of their Viva La Vida World Tour, Coldplay has invited Oxfam to inform their fans about the importance about global poverty and ways that we can all help to overcome it. The Philadelphia Action Corps was in full force last friday night at their concert at the Wachovia Center.

We were greeted by Peter Lusby, Oxfam’s tour manager for the Coldplay tour and also joined by Brian Rawson, the senior organizer at Oxfam who established the Action Corps.

The concert was a spectacular show with songs off their latest CD, and many fan favorites including “Yellow” and “Fix You”. With 17 volunteers and help from some dedicated Coldplay fans from www.coldplaying.com; the Action Corps was able to get a total of 543 signups!

Carrie and I (Khadija) want to thank our amazing Action Corps team: Mark, Denise and her daughter Sierra, Lezlie, Erin, Joe, Maggie, Tim, Maurice, Amanda, Mehul, Harsh, Brian, Joshua, Joel and Peter Lusby.
