Hello Philadelphia Oxfam Action Corps:
There are Two exciting tours that we've been invited on! Arctic Monkeys and our friends Ra Ra Riot are both setting out on tours, and have asked us to send in our folks to work outreach tables at their shows. Arctic Monkeys have a new album out that's getting a lot of buzz, and RRR have just finished a huge tour with Death Cab For Cutie and are making a final headlining trip around the States before working on a new album. Here are the dates:

Lobby Visits with Senators:
Shane Bagwell (POAC Member) is currently working on lining up lobby visits with Senators Specter and Casey, for either next week or the first week in September. Please let us know if would like to join us and other organizational allies at these lobby visits.
Monthly Member Meetings:
Our next monthly meeting will be next Wednesday August 26th, 2009 at the Whole Food Market, located at 929 South Street (9th and South St) from 6pm-8pm. Click here for directions and map. Gabe Barreras, Oxfam’s National Outreach Organizer, will be joining us via conference call. New members are always welcome!!!
